★★★★★Google

“Sent Steve a list of six repairs I'd been ignoring for months — wobbly towel bars, squeaky doors, a couple of holes the previous owners left. He knocked it all out in one visit and the price was exactly what he quoted. Will book again next time the list builds up.”

Good to know before booking

Have everything on hand before the visit

Any fixtures, hardware or materials for your tasks should be on hand before Steve arrives. This keeps the visit efficient and avoids a return trip. When quoting, Steve confirms exactly what you need to have ready for each item on your list.

If a task turns out to be more involved than the photos suggested, Steve flags it before continuing. Nothing on the list expands without your say-so.

Repair list visit — questions

What counts as a small task for a repair list visit?

Any job that would take 20–60 minutes on its own: drywall patch, door adjustment, shelf install, curtain rod, fixture swap, caulking or small assembly. Jobs that would individually take over 2 hours are usually better scoped separately.

How many tasks can fit in one visit?

A 2-hour visit covers around 3–4 tasks. A standard 3–4 hour visit handles 5–8. An extended visit covers 8 or more. Steve reviews the full list before quoting to make sure the visit length is realistic — no overpromising.

How do I send my list?

Use the quote form and list each task in the description field. Add photos of each problem if you can — phone photos work fine. You can also send the list by text to (403) 973-5123. More detail means a more accurate quote.

What if a task turns out to be bigger than expected?

If a task grows significantly once work begins — hidden damage, unexpected depth — Steve flags it before continuing. Nothing expands without your approval. You decide whether to include it in this visit or book a follow-up.

Do I need to supply parts or materials?

All tools are included. Customer-specified fixtures, hardware and materials (towel bars, curtain rods, shelves, locks, faucet aerators) should be on hand before the visit. Steve confirms exactly what is needed when quoting.

Can you do a repair list visit in a condo or rental?

Yes. Condo and rental units are common. For condos, confirm any building rules around drilling or contractor access. For rentals, coordinate key or lockbox access before the visit.

Is this the same as "handyman for a day"?

Similar concept. Rather than booking an open-ended block, Steve quotes your specific list so you know the price and scope before anything is scheduled. No surprise invoice at the end of the day.

What is not included in a repair list visit?

Jobs requiring a permit, licensed electrician, plumber or gas fitter. Active water leaks, full wall drywall replacement, large furniture assembly collections (like a PAX wardrobe system), and any job where materials need to be ordered first.

Ready to get it quoted?

Not satisfied with the work? I will come back and make it right.
