Why I started this
I grew up in Calgary and have spent years working on homes across every quadrant of the city — NW bungalows from the 1970s, new builds in Auburn Bay and Mahogany, condos in the Beltline, acreages out past Cochrane. Every type of home has its own quirks, and I've learned most of them.
The problem I kept running into — both as someone who does this work and as a homeowner myself — was the disconnect between what you're told a job will cost and what you end up paying. Show-up-and-see pricing. Vague quotes. Upsells at the door. I started this business specifically to be different: you send photos, I send a price, and that price is what you pay.
Most of the work I do is the kind of thing that sits on a list for months — a drywall hole from a doorknob, a TV that needs mounting before the furniture gets rearranged, a faucet that's been dripping since January, a fence gate that hasn't closed properly since the last frost. Small to medium jobs that don't need a contractor but do need someone who knows what they're doing and will show up when they say they will.
That's the whole pitch. Clear quote, firm price, show up on time, do the work, clean up, leave. If it's not right, I come back and fix it.
